Cherub: The Recruit - Robert Muchamore


The Recruit is about a normal teenage boy called James Choke, who comes home one day to find his obese mum dead and is sent to an orphanage. One minute he is at Nabraska House the next he is at the Cherub campus and doing basic training to earn his grey shirt and become a spy. You'll find many interesting characters, including instructors, friends, and terrorists.


I would recomend this book to teenagers.

Skeleton Key – Anthony Horowitz



Skeleton Key is the third book in the Stormbreaker series and is the sequel to the second book, Point Blanc. Alex Rider, the main character, is a fourteen year old schoolboy who works for the British government’s MI6. On his third mission, Alex is sent to Cayo Esqueleto (Skeleton Key) an island near Cuba. When he is forced to hide out from a Chinese triad gang, after he wrecks their plan at the Wimbledon tennis championships.

I would recommend this book to younger teenagers.

Point Blanc – Anthony Horowitz



Point Blanc is the second book in the Stormbraeker series. Alex Rider’s second mission sends him to the southern area of France at an exclusive academy for rebellious rich kids, Point Blanc, run by Dr. Grief, a scientist who has devoted his life to helping troubled children. That’s what the parents think. MI6 get suspicious about what really goes on at the school after the assassinations of two of the world’s most powerful men. They each had one thing in common; they each had a son attending Point Blanc Academy.

Alex Rider is sent into Point Blanc under the name of Alex Friend and then discovers the truth about the academy.

I would recommend this book to younger teenagers.

Stormbreaker – Anthony Horowitz



The first book in the series, Stormbreaker, introduces to us Alex Rider, a fourteen year old schoolboy with no parents and is being looked after by his uncle. Ian Rider works for MI6, the British Government’s spy agency, Alex is oblivious to this and thinks his uncle works for a bank. A knock at the door and a visit from the police in the middle of the night tells Alex that his uncle died in a car crash. There’s only one problem, Ian Rider wasn’t wearing his seatbelt and that’s why he died. But Alex’s Uncle is smarter than that and Alex knows that his Ian Rider would always wear his seatbelt no matter how short the trip was.

Alex stumbles upon the existence of MI6 while searching for the real reason of his uncle death and becomes a spy. On his first mission, Alex is sent to a computer designer’s estate, the same place where his uncle was killed.
